Tuscan cycling experience

Lucca and its surroundings is the place to be when it comes to cycling in Tuscany. This historical town is located in the north of Tuscany and is surrounded by the Apuan Alps, Mediterranean Sea and the beautiful cities of Pisa and Florence. The cycling possibilities in this region are endless: good tarmac routes through rolling vineyards and olive groves, straight roads, alpine climbs such as the mythical Mount Serra -which towers over Lucca- or Pizzorne and even off-road alternatives. It's no wonder why many cycling pros (e.g. Mario Cipollini) - both trainee and retired - choose Lucca as their home. From Saturday, May 14, to Saturday, May 21, 2022, we organize a cycling week for the connoisseur. We combine cycling in Tuscany with culinary and cultural activities. It will be a week of enjoying everything this beautiful region has to offer!
Stay
We provide a delicious and complete stay. Every day we start with an extensive cyclists breakfast, there is sports nutrition during the ride, a complete recovery lunch after the ride and dinner in the evening. We stay at Bike Villa Tenuta San Giovanni in Lucca. The Baldisserri family runs this beautiful place with great passion. Here is all the space you need to relax and unwind, take a moment for yourself, or exchange experiences with the other participants. You share your bedroom and bathroom with another participant of the arrangement, but you do have your own single bed at your disposal. TBike Villa Tenuta San Giovanni is an authentic Tuscan villa/agriturismo consisting of various appartments. You can completely immerse yourself in the Italian life.
Week
The week's programme has been put together so that all you have to do is cycle and enjoy this Tuscany Cycling Experience! We have mapped out beautiful routes and our guide Alessandro will show you the hidden gems of this area. We will go into the mountains where long and hard climbs await you. We alternate this with rides over undulating terrain, through picturesque Tuscan villages and along the Mediterranean coast. Alessandro will also inform you about the rich cultural history of these unique surroundings. Each ride there is a support car available so that sports food, drinks and spare clothing/material are always at your disposal. And, of course, there will be time for culinary enjoyment! The package includes a wine tasting, a cooking workshop and a master class in making olive oil!
