The mythical Strade Bianche represents everything that makes cycling beautiful and terrible! A Gran Fondo where challenge, beautiful white gravel roads, super company, a touch of heroism and delicious food come together in a unique way. This event will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Registration is open to anyone looking for a unique, epic experience and an amazing cycling vacation in Tuscany! From Monday, February 26 to Monday, March 4, 2024, we will organize a week entirely dedicated to Gran Fondo Strade Bianche.
Stay
We provide a wonderful and comprehensive stay. Each day we start with a full cyclist breakfast, there is sports nutrition during the ride and dinner in the evening. We stay at Bike Villa Pieve a Salti in Buoncovento in the beating gravel heart of Tuscany. Pieve a Salti is in a beautiful location right on the famous gravel lanes. This place breathes in every aspect the rich history it has. You share your bedroom and bathroom with another participant of the package, though you do have your own single bed at your disposal. Bike Villa Pieve a Salti is an authentic Tuscan agriturismo with several apartments and excellent cycling facilities. Here you can optimally prepare for the Strade Bianche and enjoy your cycling vacation!
Gran Fondo Strade Bianche
This week is all about the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche on Sunday, March 3, 2024. The program is designed so that all you have to do is ride and enjoy! We prepare you optimally for this mythical challenge; we provide beautiful challenging (gravel) routes on GPX so that everyone can cycle at his or her level. With these routes we already explore a large part of the Strade Bianche routes. There are 2 distances on Sunday, namely 138km (2000hm, 9 gravel sections) and 87km (1350hm, 6 gravel sections). You can bring your own bike or rent one through us. There is always a bike coach/mentor on the bike during the rides who will share tips & tricks with you in addition to routes and information. During the rides we have access to our own support car. Here you can store your extra stuff and we take along repair stuff, sports nutrition and drinks for the road. It will be a week to enjoy horribly!

Buonconvento route

Arrival dayDay 1

As soon as you arrive in Tuscany, your Strade Bianche Camp begins. We will arrange for you to be taken from the airport to the Bike Villa in Buonconvento. Once there, a delicious lunch will be waiting for you and the welcome pack will be in your room. After lunch, when everyone has arrived, we will take a first ride together. After dinner there will be an introduction and we will discuss the week's program.

Monterroni D'Arbia route

Gravel dayDay 2

After a delicious breakfast, today's route is all about getting used to the environment, altitude and gravel lanes. Together we cycle a beautiful gravel route to Monteroni D'Arbia and back. This route is also part of the Strade Bianche. After dinner tailored to cyclists, there will be a workshop on nutrition.

Siena route

Gravel dayDay 3.

This 'must-do' ride we will take the group to Siena and ride the finale of the Strade Bianche with finish at Plaza del Campo. We'll take time at this mythical spot for photos and of course a delicious Italian 'gelato'! Along the way we will ride over beautiful gravel strips, known from the Strade Bianche and the Eroica Nova. After the ride there is the possibility for a massage.

Pieve a Salti route

Recovery dayDay 4

Time to recover today with a coffee ride or a full rest day to give the legs a rest after some solid gravel days and the necessary altimeters. Cycling is on your own, for which several routes are available. In the afternoon there is a free program and you can do your own thing. A wine tasting, to the beautiful village of Montalcino where you can visit the Eroica shop or just relax with a book by the pool. It is also possible to book a massage. The choice is up to you! In the afternoon and evening we will hold individual talks to go over the "race plan" for Saturday.

Torrenieri route

Gravel dayDay 5

This day is dedicated to enjoyment par excellence. We ride through the Torrenieri wine region over an undulating landscape with the most beautiful gravel roads in the Buonconvento region. Local guide Alessandro cycles with us today and tells all the ins and outs of this beautiful area. During the aperitif we discuss tomorrow and Saturday when it is D-day!

Expo Village Siena

Recovery DayDay 6.

Today we will pick up the start ticket and participant package. It is also a perfect time to taste the atmosphere at the "Expo Village" and the start/finish in Siena. For those who want to loosen up their legs, there is the possibility to go to the start by bike, ride some relaxed meters and get everything ready for the big day tomorrow! For those who want a rest, there is the possibility of picking up the start tickets by car. Of course, we will also watch the pros this day. The rest of the day is all about resting and preparing everything for D-day!

Gran Fondo Strade Bianchi

D-DayDay 7

Today is D-Day! Perhaps one of the most beautiful and spectacular Gran Fondo you will ride in your lifetime; the Strade Bianche! A day you are not going to forget, just because of the breath-taking landscapes and unique atmosphere. Whether you go for the 138km or the 87km distance, it will be enjoyment and suffering all in one! This week full of cycling fun will end with a delicious BBQ afterwards!

Back home day

Departure dayDay 8

Unfortunately, it's already time to go home again. With a wonderful experience, new cycling friends and new insights richer. We hope you achieved your goals for this week and enjoyed it to the fullest! At the end of the week we'll make sure you get to the airport in time for your trip home.
