Train with Power Camp
Mallorca 14-21 March 2023
Do you want to start the new season optimally prepared or work towards a specific goal? Then sign up for our "Train with Power" training course and discover how to reach your true potential! We are here with you to personally take care of every detail throughout before, during and after the rides so you can fully concentrate on training - bike-eat-sleep-repeat across the week, where you will live like a pro (well almost). After each ride, we analyse your power data and go through all aspects of training with you individually (training zones, training plan, nutrition, recovery, etc.). This week provides specific personal insights and helps to ensure you reach your personal goals.
Accommodation
The training group will stay in a Bike Villa in the rural village of Alaró on the edge of the Tramuntana mountain range. Each Bike Villa has single beds and a bike centre for safe storage and maintenance of your bike. You share your bedroom and bathroom with another participant of the Camp, although you do have your own single bed. Other facilities include a private swimming pool, outdoor BBQ area, wifi, air conditioning, smart TV and and washing machine. All our Bike Villas are in beautiful locations with great views of the Tramuntana Mountains - the perfect place for a unique cycling holiday!
Coaching
Our 'Train with Power' coaching programme is a training camp providing you with personal insights, daily coaching sessions, post-ride analysis and workshops (covering multiple aspects of training), how to build a training plan, nutrition strategy, training and racing with a power meter and, of course, recovery.

- Every day we start with a briefing on the ride we are going to undertake. We ride as a team but everyone is set their personal goals for the ride, depending on your level and ambitions.

-After the ride, power and heart rate data are analysed and discussed with you to give you more insight into, for example - your 'zones' and where your focus should be to improve yourself.

- With that personal schedule and your key focus points, you can optimally improve yourself every day.

- In total, we have 2 measuring moments during this week to determine your heart rate points; 1x short FTP test and 1x 20-minute test.

Programme

We have put together an appealing, challenging and educational programme fully personalised to you with a clear itinerary and description for each day!

Orient route

Arrival dayDay 1

As soon as you arrive in Mallorca, your "Train with Power" camp begins where we take you from the airport to the Bike Villa in Alaró. Once there, a delicious lunch will be ready for you with a welcome pack waiting for you in your room. After lunch, when everyone has arrived, we will take the first ride together and ride the Orient route. Later that evening, dinner will be followed by an introduction from the support team where we will discuss the week's programme…

Randa route

Test dayDay 2

The second day is all about data collection, FTP testing and, of course, a great day of cycling. Everyone starts with a 3-5 minute FTP test that we perform and record on the Col de Tofla, close to our Bike Villa. Once everyone has done the test, we will ride a beautiful route to Randa and then back home together. After dinner there is a workshop on training with a powermeter and we discuss the results of the FTP test.

Deia route

Training dayDay 3

After a deliciously nutritious breakfast and the daily briefing, we ride the Deia route with the group via Soller and Esporles. There are sufficient challenges and climbing to focus on your individual points of interest and training in this ride. In the afternoon, there are individual coaching sessions and the opportunity for a recovery massage. After dinner, we will discuss and prepare for the following day’s 20-minute FTP test.

Sa Calobra route

TRAINING AND TEST DAYDay 4

This day the legendary Sa Calobra is on the programme. It promises to be a dramatic and challenging ride that includes a 20-minute FTP test... We ride via Orient, Coll de Soller, Puig Major (where we do the FTP test) onto Sa Calobra. We return via the Col de Sa Batalla before descending to our Bike Villa. After dinner, there will be a second workshop on training with a powermeter and we will discuss the results of the FTP test.

santa maria route

recovery dayDay 5

Time to recover today with a short 'coffee and flat' ride to Santa Maria and giving the legs a rest after some tough training days and climbing... So today is all about recovery in order that we can continue training full of energy in the following days. In the afternoon there will be individual coaching sessions and the opportunity for a recovery massage. After dinner there will be a workshop on nutrition.

Cap de Formentor route

Training DayDay 6

Today we ride one of Mallorca's most beautiful and spectacular routes: the road out to the Cap de Formentor lighthouse. A 'must do' if you are in Mallorca! We drive via the Col de Sa Batalla and then via a delightful descent to Port de Pollenca. There, the route to the lighthouse begins. Via beautiful backroads, we ride back to the Bike Villa in Alaró, giving plenty of attention to your individual assignments and training. After dinner, there will be a workshop on setting up a training programme.

Andratx route

Training DayDay 7

Last but not least we have a stunner of a final ride with the beautiful Andratx route. After a flat run-up of 25km, it's down and up along Mallorca's coastline with beautiful views over the Mediterranean. The final climb of the route is the Col de Soller and there you get to pull out all the stops once more. Like every day, today will focus on individual assignments and training. In the afternoon there is the opportunity for a recovery massage. We conclude with a delicious BBQ with plenty of relaxation time to reflect on the past 7 days and have some fun.

Back home route

Departure dayDay 8

Unfortunately it's now time to head back home, but with a wonderful experience, new cycling friends and valuable training insights under our belts. We hope you have achieved your goals for this week, gained a lot of knowledge and enjoyed it to the full! We'll make sure you're back at the airport in time for your trip home.
